4 Another theory of relativity: Giftedness as conditionality
Emerging thoughts about giftedness see it: (1.) as a socially constructed entity that constantly evolves with our society, (2.) as an inclusive non-normative guiding framework that seeks out each individual’s unique giftedness and talents, and (3.) as a recursive person-in-situation realisation that depends on the complexity of a system and the dynamics between an individual and his/her environment. These thoughts are quite different from the either-or reductionist model that sees giftedness as a static condition. This presentation will provide pedagogy and a definition that corresponds to the systemic, dynamic view of giftedness.
