27 The Influence of Creative Classroom Environments on the Creativity of Children Aged 10-14 Years

The ability of creation is one of the most valuable abilities for children. Primary and secondary school stage is critical for the development of children's creativity. The development of children's creativity is influenced by both school environment and individual factors. On the basis of literature review, the present study explored the mediating effect of learning motivation and judicial thinking style in the influence of creative classroom environment on creativity.

Creative Classroom Environment Questionnaire, Learning Motivation Questionnaire and Judicial Thinking Style questionnaire made by the authors and the Creative battery from Aurora-a battery were hired. Creative Classroom Environment Questionnaire, Learning Motivation Questionnaire and Judicial Thinking Style questionnaire all had good reliability and validity. A sample of 2007 primary and secondary students was got from 4 grades to 8 grades in East, Middle and West China.

The correlation of main variables was tested by SPSS.21.0. The results indicated that: (1)All dimensions of creative classroom environment were positively correlated with judicial thinking style. (2)Each dimension of creative classroom environment was positively correlated with each dimension of learning motivation. (3)All dimensions of creative classroom environment were positively correlated with Fig, NT, MU and BC in creativity, but only one dimension was positively correlated with Con in creativity. (4)There was a significant positive correlation between thinking style and figs,NT and BC in the dimension of creativity. (5)There was a significant positive correlation between the dimensions of learning motivation and creativity. (6)There was a significant positive correlation between judicial thinking style and learning motivation.

The mediation model was tested using Amos24.0 and Bootstrapping test. The results indicated that: (1)Learning motivation played a mediating role in the influence of creative classroom environment on creativity. (2)Judicial thinking style played a mediating role in the influence of creative classroom environment on creativity. (3) Learning motivation and judicial thinking style played a serial mediating role in the influence of creative classroom environment on creativity. (4)The direct effect of creative classroom environment on creativity was not significant. In general, creative classroom environment can influence the development of children's creativity through learning motivation and judicial thinking style.
