2.7.4 Cancelled

Gender diversity is a global issue ranging from acceptance to persecution. Quite often acceptance and support are often found first in gifted programs, but gifted educators continue to ask for advice, support, and resources in dealing with gender diversity issues. Addressing these issues in the classroom is important for supporting GLBTQ students and for informing all students about sexual minority/gender issues in order to create understanding and empathy for GLBTQ youth. The focus of this session is to provide strategies, guidelines, and resources to understand, support, and nurture gifted GLBTQ youth.
