Panel: Pathways to Eminence: Women’s Journeys from "She Has Such Potential!" to Transforming Fields

This symposium explores the pathways from identifying talent in girls to achieving eminence as women, drawing on perspectives from Australia, Paraguay, the USA, and Chile. Presenters will share their research on gifted girls and women, longitudinal trajectories, and systemic factors influencing women’s success in various cultural contexts. Topics include studies on eminent women in STEM, early developmental stages of talent, and longitudinal research on high-achieving women. Together, these insights provide a global perspective on fostering talent and overcoming barriers. This session offers educators, policymakers, and researchers actionable strategies to support talented girls and women in realizing their potential.
