Experiences of Twice-Exceptional Russophone Families Residing in the United States

Being twice-exceptional (2e) is not easy, but being a twice-exceptional, bilingual, and bicultural refugee comes with its own set of complexities. In this session, we explore the challenges faced by Russophone 2e families residing in the United States as they pertain to their children’s development, education, assessments, workplaces, and everyday life in hopes of bringing awareness of their needs to the educators, specialists, and other professionals and identifying adjustments necessary to improve support for these families’ wellbeing.
