International Collaboration for the Gifted: from Cultures and Environmental Science to Aerospace Engineering
International collaboration elevates gifted education to great heights through the provision of enrichment programmes. This paper aims to share the lessons learnt from the international collaboration of Hong Kong and Sakha Republic from 2017 to 2024 for more than 400 gifted students. The mutual visits have facilitated students from both sides to acquire culture, ecology (with palaeontology) and geology beyond their understanding. The boundaryless collaboration reached a climax in 2024 via the joint project known as Arctic Challenge 2024: Mission S, the first-ever satellite production by 22 secondary school students from both regions in a blended learning environment.
