The Practice and Exploration of Mathematical Modeling Activities in Improving the Comprehensive Core Literacy of Gifted Children
Mathematical modeling is an important part of mathematics. Students raise questions in real situations, build mathematical models using multidimensional knowledge, analyze and solve problems, and express them in mathematical language. Based on the theory of mathematical core literacy, this study takes the long-term interdisciplinary project-based learning course "Sports and Heart Rate" as an example to explore the effectiveness of mathematical modeling courses in enhancing the comprehensive core literacy of gifted children. The results show that following certain practices in teaching mathematical modeling activities can effectively cultivate students' various abilities, improve learning efficiency, and ultimately implement the development of core literacy.
