A Study on Enhancing the Creativity of Artistically Gifted Students through AI-Generated Images

This study examined the impact of an AI-generated image course on the creativity and learning experiences of 15 artistically gifted students aged 12 to 15. Findings from post-course questionnaires, interviews, and student works revealed: (1) 66.7% of students believed the course stimulated creativity and broke traditional thinking, while 33.3% were neutral, with no negative responses; (2) students rated AI technology acceptance, creative satisfaction, and AI’s assistance in self-expression at 6.27, 6.33, and 6.27 respectively, all above average; (3) students found the course creative and challenging, particularly emphasizing the importance of precise prompting in enhancing creativity; (4) students expressed satisfaction with the course atmosphere, felt inspired by AI techniques, and showed enthusiasm for future AI art courses. These findings suggest that the course had a positive impact on the creativity of gifted students, highlighting the potential of AI-generated image courses in gifted education.
