Accreditation for Gifted School
Out of 2,3 billion children under 18 years old (cf. The World Bank and the United Nations) about 3,7 million are gifted and talented – that means 16% of the total number of world children. For all these students we need international accreditation standards for schools or programs dedicated to gifted and talented children. In 2025, it is important to discuss forming an accreditation and recognition body for standards of gifted schools across the world. The IBO (International Baccalaureate), BSO (British School Overseas) or COGNIA (US School) standards and their recognition should be at the level of the Ministries of Education in each one, as well as at the level of the faculties all over the world, it is necessary to recognize the techniques of observation, identification (psychometric testing), teaching (acceleration, enrichment, differentiation, compacting, Inquiry-Based Learning), evaluation (formative and summative) of children who are in the gifted and talented category.
