Panel: Teaching Pre-Service Teachers to Reach the Gifted: Lessons Across the Changing World

Teacher preparation programs for gifted education vary widely across countries, yet share a common goal: equipping educators to meet the needs of high-ability learners. This panel features perspectives from experts representing three countries with diverse educational systems. Panelists will share insights from their research and practical experience, highlighting similarities, differences, and innovative strategies that transcend borders. Attendees will gain a nuanced understanding of what works globally—and how these strategies can be adapted locally to strengthen teacher training and support gifted students. This interactive session will encourage dialogue on adaptable practices and foster collaboration among global educators to enhance gifted education.
