Intellectually Gifted Young Adults During September 2024 War on Lebanon: Well-being and Learned Lessons

This study explores how gifted and non-gifted young adults in Beirut, Lebanon, process and cope with the emotional and cognitive impacts of war. Focusing on eight participants (four gifted and four non-gifted, aged 18-22) from the American University of Beirut (AUB), the research examines differences in coping strategies and emotional responses to the September conflict. Using narrative inquiry, the study investigates how these young adults engage with their war experiences and how these insights can inform mentors and support systems. The findings aim to aid educators and caregivers in fostering resilience and providing support during crises.
