Mathematics Creativity Test (MCT): Practical Applications for the Secondary School Classroom

The Mathematics Creativity Test (MCT) for secondary school students was developed to assess creativity in mathematical contexts including knowledge, fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. In this session, updated validity and reliability results will be described, relating the MCT to creative ability indicated by the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking, general intellectual ability, and mathematical achievement. Audience members will receive access to the MCT as well as example activities for use in the secondary mathematics classroom.
