Teachers, School Leaders and Parents in Gifted Education: Perceived Interaction and Involvement

Teachers, school leaders and parents are key actors in the development of gifted students and in the (educational) system around the gifted student (Ziegler & Stoeger, 2017). This research project investigated teachers' (n = 302), school leaders' (n = 136), and parents' (n = 172) perceptions of involvement of and interactions with the other key actors in gifted education. Furthermore, after semi-structured interviews with 20 teachers, 18 school leaders and 24 parents, we identified facilitators and barriers to effective involvement and interaction as perceived by teachers, school leaders, and parents in gifted education.
