Cultivating Excellence: Insights from Turkish Researchers on Global Principles for Professional Learning in Gifted Education

The aim of this study is to examine the views of researchers working in universities’ gifted education departments in Türkiye about the role, functionality, and how the “WCGTC Global principles for professional learning in gifted education” can be applied in the preservice and in-service teacher education process. This case study is planned to conduct semi-structured interviews with 10 volunteer researchers, face-to-face or via video conference.The interview data will be analyzed with content analysis and the findings will be shared with the congress participants. The findings of the study are expected to provide suggestions on how to develop professional development programs based on the Global Principles in Türkiye.
