Distance Education for Gifted and Talented Students: A Case Study in Istanbul
This case study investigates the design and implementation of a distance education program for a gifted and talented student residing far from a BİLSEM (Science and Arts Center). The program utilized asynchronous and synchronous learning methods, with individualized course design based on the student's needs and regular feedback. Results indicated increased student motivation and active participation, highlighting the effectiveness of distance education in providing access to specialized learning opportunities for geographically isolated gifted students. Continuous feedback and integration of distance education components proved crucial for optimizing the learning process and tailoring it to individual needs. This study offers valuable insights for developing effective distance education strategies for gifted students in similar situations.
