The Lifelong Impact and Experience of Attending a University-Based Enrichment Program

As many schools use schoolwide programs today, universities have the expertise, opportunities, academic knowledge, and passion for learning that extends and nurtures giftedness. Few studies have explored the long-term impact of these experiences on adulthood. This session explores past participants attitudes, academic potential, and future success with real stories from a university Educational Centre for Gifted and Talented that operated in an African context during a political era of social unrest. Gain valuable insights to assist in designing future-focused programs and ensure that advanced students of all backgrounds receive the support they need to thrive in a changing world.
