Mathematical Creativity and Mathematical Giftedness: A Systematic Review

The concepts of mathematical giftedness and mathematical creativity are important for both mathematics education and gifted education. There are many studies in the literature on mathematical giftedness and mathematical creativity. However, although the studies are not numerous, there is a lack of a comprehensive understanding of these two concepts. This systematic review aims to explore the connection (or interaction) between mathematical giftedness and mathematical creativity. We employed a systematic review methodology, adhering to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines to ensure research integrity and transparency. Key phrases included "Math* AND (Gift* OR Talent* OR Precou* OR Exceptiona* OR Promis*) AND (creativ*)" using asterisk (*) as a wildcard for suffix variations. We’ve reached 596 publications. The findings of the research will be discussed with the literature.
