High Ablity/Giftedness: Training for Urugayan Teachers From Public Schools

This presentation intends to exhibit the development of the first training on High Ability/Giftedness offered to public school teachers all over Uruguay by the General Board of Initial and Elementary education. Two hundred third to fifth grade teachers were carefully selected from all the 19 Uruguayan departments following criteria to assure the efficiency and efficacy of the training. Six modules were dictated by Argentinean, Brazilian and Uruguayan experts in Giftedness holding at least a Master’s degree, including 250 class-hours distributed in three in-personl meetings and two online meetings per week and a project supervising period at the end.
