Panel: Gifted Education in Canada: State of Research, Development of Collaborations and Political Versatility for Practice

Interested in better understanding the state of gifted education in Canada? This panelwill begin by synthesizing the state of research in the different provinces and territories while highlighting the disparities between them regarding movements of progress or regression in this area of study in recent years. Then, we will highlight the different types of collaborations that are emerging across Canada, between different orders (universities, schools, communities), and among different disciplines. Finally, we will point out the impact of current political movements of support or indifference and their ramifications on gifted students in Canada and how it shapes the future of gifted students.
