Transforming the Way We Understand Giftedness through the Prism of Creativity
Defining the many features of giftedness, high abilities, and talent is an ever-changing endeavor that has lasted for centuries. In the last decades we have been rapidly developing a solid theoretical framework about many of such features, namely intelligence, cognitive and emotional abilities, and creativity. However, we are still far from grasping a dynamic and comprehensive picture of what giftedness and related topics is and how it impacts the lives of all players involved (e.g. Demirbaga, 2024). One way of grasping a deeper and systemic portrayal of giftedness is a more creative approach that can challenge and critically reflect on its definition, and provide a more flexible and dynamic approach.
