Evaluating the Work Environment for Staff Members in Gifted and Talented Programs in Saudi Arabia

This qualitative questionnaire study aims to explore and understand strategies to evaluate and improve the work environment for staff in gifted and talented programs in Saudi Arabia. The sample used in this study was 16 staff members serving undergraduate gifted and talented students in one university. The researchers collected these administrators’ perspectives and lived experiences using a qualitative questionnaire. The results suggest essential recommendations for enhancing their work environment. Three themes were discovered by the researchers. First, under the administration theme, the administration can enhance the workplace by providing sufficient resources, professional development opportunities, and program autonomy in decision-making. Secondly, concerning the coordination theme, administrators can enhance the work environment by providing professional development, particularly in communication with higher authorities and working from a strategic plan to raise employees' confidence and satisfaction in the workplace.
