National Curriculum for Teacher Education on Gifted Education

The Dutch National Knowledge Center for Gifted Education has existed since 2022. This center is an initiative of the Dutch government. It aims to provide evidence-based information on gifted education. All information is free of charge and accessible to all who consider themselves stakeholders (i.e., educational professionals, parents and caregivers, researchers, teacher educators, and counselors). An online knowledge and community platform is used to disseminate the information. This presentation will show the development of the Knowledge Center and the program offered. We will discuss the Knowledge Center's principles and make visible how we work. We will show how the various stakeholders related to gifted education are always involved in gathering and disseminating information. The presentation will show how a bridge is built between science and practice.
