Parent Perceptions of Intensities and Sensitivites in Young, Highly to Profoundly Gifted Children

Results from an exploratory study that examined parents' perceptions of social and emotional characteristics and behaviors of 14 highly gifted children ages 5 to 8 will be shared. Findings from interviews and analysis of survey data from the ElemenOE questionnaire will be discussed with practical implications for parenting and recommendations for educational practices including support strategies for this exceptional population.
