Can Public Schools Truly Serve the Needs of Multi-Exceptional Learners? It’s all about collaboration

This presentation explores a unique model for gifted education implemented in two Florida public charter schools. Founded on principles of talent development and equitable access, these schools serve a diverse population, including a high concentration of twice-exceptional (2e) and multi-exceptional (ME) learners. A collaborative approach involving educators, administrators, parents, and students fosters individualized learning, enabling radical acceleration, customized coursework, and enrichment opportunities. This model demonstrates successful strategies for meeting the needs of gifted learners, particularly 2e and ME students, within a public school setting.
