Giftedness and Metacognitive Education: Examples of Feuerstein Method’s Applications
In Italy during these last years, thanks to the inclusive school, and Associations for giftedness, and to the University, more attention has grown about the intellectual giftedness. Currently the evidence-based studies indicate the importance of a meta-cognitive approach and of a teaching customization more open to flexibility. Feuerstein Method based on cognitive modifiability and on the centrality of mediation for the development of the individual's potential, response to these needs. We will examine a few examples of Feuerstein Method’s applications with gifted students.
