You will use your WCGTC email and password to login. Select the type that best suits your presentation. Due to limited slots in the program, the Academic Committee may need to adjust your presentation type. The types of presentations are<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>concurrent session<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a 25-minute session in which individuals present original research, theoretical perspectives, innovative practices, or scholarly insights related to a specific topic. Interaction in this format is typically limited to questions and answers. Each person may only submit a proposal to be lead presenter on <\/span><b><i>two<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> parallel session presentations.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>panel discussion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a 75-minute panel presentation that will involve <\/span><b><i>3-5 individuals<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> conducting work about a related topic. The lead presenter will be the facilitator. The purpose of a panel discussion is to present work on a similar topic and to engage in discussion. Successful proposals will include clear descriptions of the topics to be discussed and the procedures that will be used to manage the discussion. Each person may only submit a proposal to be lead presenter on <\/span><b><i>one <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">panel discussion. If accepted, each person on the panel session is required to register for and attend the World Conference.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\">\u00a0<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>poster<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> session is a 25-minute session in which individuals visually present a research study, program, or project. This format is particularly appropriate for works in progress including doctoral research. Posters will be displayed in a designated location throughout the conference, and there will be a specific time in the schedule for presenters to interact with audiences. (No audio-visual equipment or power supply will be available for poster sessions.)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Acceptance of Alternative Presentation Type<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are you willing to accept an alternate presentation type? (Please note that the alternate format may be a poster.)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Presenter Information<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The submitting presenter must list the email addresses of all speakers in the order they should appear on the proposal. AI may <\/span><b><i>not<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> be listed as a presenter.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The submitter will enter their own details at time of submission, but each speaker is responsible for providing their speaker information and accepting to be listed on the proposal. After the proposal is submitted, each listed presenter will receive an email to update their information and accept being listed on the proposal. An additional contact may also be included.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Topic Areas<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must choose a primary and secondary topic you think best suits your presentation. Please note that Academic Committee members may choose to move your presentation to a different strand. This abstract will be used in the program. The abstract should clearly describe the session so participants know what will be discussed.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Content<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A proposal of no more than 400 words should be included. Briefly describe how the session time will be used (i.e., what will be discussed in the actual presentation). The proposal will be used by the Academic Committee when reviewing proposals and will not appear in the program book. If the primary emphasis of your presentation is research, you must include information regarding the methods for your research.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>References<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You may include references you have used. References should adhere to APA 7 style guidelines.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Learning Objectives<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide 2-5 learning objectives for your presentation. Learning objectives should state what participants will be able to know, understand, or do as a result of attending your session (e.g., \u201cParticipants will be able to identify\u2026\u201d or \u201cParticipants will be able to apply\u2026\u201d). These will be used by the Academic Committee when reviewing your proposal and should align with the content described above.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>AI Use<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must indicate whether you used generative artificial intelligence (AI) in your proposal and, if so, to what extent. AI tools may be used to assist with editing, grammar, or brainstorming, but the proposal ideas, content, and conclusions must originate from the presenter(s). AI must not be used to draft or generate the substantive abstract, learning objectives, or content description. Presenters are fully responsible for the content of their submitted proposal.
