3.1.1 "We Can Do It, Too!" Blended Learning Strategies for 2E and Gifted English Language Learners

Blended Learning is a powerful technique used in classrooms with 21st-century learners. It covers many models of learning and its underlying goal is to combine active, engaged learning online with active engaged learning in the classroom to give students more control of their learning (Tucker,2018) This personalized, student-centered way of learning gives a fresh perspective on the traditional teaching methods in classrooms and aligns to the needs of students in special programs such as Gifted, Advanced Placement, and Special Education. During this presentation, I will present Blended strategies that have been successful in a north Texas school district on the elementary and high school level specifically targeting our Gifted ELs and Twice-Exceptional students.
