Reach for the Stars
Learners will be able to increase their understanding of and comfort with the nature of science through the context of this interesting real-world scientific lesson designed for teachers to implement into their curriculum and use with diverse gifted and talented students. Learners will examine NASA websites. The presenter will share a power-point presentation to analyze constellations, “the stages in the lifecycle of a star”. Following the power-point demonstration, learners will analyze, chart and graph constellations and create/name their own star.
