2.2.1 Practical Ideas for Improving Critical Thinking and Writing

This workshop will help teachers assist their students in developing fluency of writing and thinking. Participants will develop options for problem-solving and critical thinking while gaining time-saving strategies and creative ideas for activities. A variety of writing and thinking projects that have been used successfully with children will be shared in an interactive presentation. These activities are designed to increase cognitive skills and discrepancy resolution through successful experiences while providing enjoyable changes-of-pace for task-oriented learning environments. All of the activities have been used to inspire pupils in varied school settings. Participants will leave with a plethora of specific strategies for making delivery of instruction more dynamic and fruitful.
