In Memoriam: Dr. Michael Pyryt

It is with deep sadness that Headquarters received the news that Canadian WCGTC delegate and Director of the Centre for Gifted Education at the University of Calgary, Dr. Michael Pyryt, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 15, 2008. His presence and his expertise will be missed greatly, here at home and abroad. We will especially miss him in the planning and preparation for the Biennial Conference in Vancouver. He was an ardent and prolific scholar, dedicated researcher, and greatly-appreciated faculty member. Our sincerest condolences go to his widow, Leta, and family.
